Mixed Flour Cucumber Thalipith

Breakfast, the most important and gearing up meal of the day, must always be wholesome and fully packed with nutrition that gives a to boost our energy after our whole night fast. Today we are going to prepare one such wholesome breakfast recipe i.e "MIXED FLOUR THALIPTH" This is one of my versions of preparing thalipith using different flours and cucumber, blended with many other ingredients to enhance its taste. Thalipith primarily has different variations. It is a dish popular in Maharashtra, North Karnataka and with its own variations in Goa. Today's thalipith version has a goodness of nutrition, making an intake of different flours in one single dish.

So, let's start with the recipe.

Ingredients :
1) Grated cumber - 1 (medium size)


2) Ragi flour - 1 cup
3) Jowar flour - 1 cup


4) Semolina (rawa) - 1 cup
5) Maize flour - 1 cup
6) Gram flour (besan) - 1/2 cup


7) Roasted Peanuts (crushed) - 1/4 cup
8) Green chillies - 2
9) Scraped coconut - 1/2 cup


10) Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup
11) Onion (roughly chopped) - 1 big sized


Method :
1) Take all the ingredients in a mixing bowl except oil.


2) Mix all the ingredients well.


3) Apply oil to the tawa.
4) Place a ladle full of thalipith mixture on the tawa.
5) Spread the mixture with fingertips on the tawa.


6) Close the tawa with a lid and let the thalipith cook on low flame.
7) Check whether the thalipith is cooked and flip it and cook on another side.
8) Ensure that it is cooked well on both the sides.
9) Serve hot with ghee, curd or butter.

2) Good source of dietary fibre.
3) Good for digestion.
4) Rich in minerals & micro nutrients.

TIPS :
1)Any flour of one's choice can be used to make thalipith.
2) If not possible to spread the thalipith mix directly on tawa with your fingers then spread it on a cotton cloth, and then place it on the tawa.

NOTE :
1) This is not bhajaniche thalipith.
2) bhajaniche thalipith is an entire different process, will upload the recipe shortly.
